Dark and heavy grooves power this new interpretation of the classic "Psalm 69" by industrial rock pioneers Ministry.
With the laid-back and spaced-out vibes which Voltergeist applies to his tech house apparent throughout this track, he creates a sound reminiscent of Scorn, Godflesh, and Ministry themselves.

"69 Psalmpled" is Ministry trapped inside a dub hole, on a cocktail of lsd and ketamine. The classic track from their Psalm 69 album has been selectively and sonically decimated by Voltergeist. In return, Ministry bassist Paul Barker (as Flowering Blight) has fucked the whole thing up even more and super-decimated the Voltergeist version to feature on his album "Fix This!!!"
It's a celebration of filthy influences. All in all a disgustingly enjoyable collaboration of woofer wobbling frequencies. The Flowering Blight version appears on the soundtrack album to the legendary 2011 documentary "FIX: The Ministry Movie".

Review by Shallowrave Blog
"Ever-evolving and mutating, Shallowrave favourite Voltergeist applies his acid-dub stylings to Ministry classic Psalm 69, reinventing the mental-industrial thrash-fest as a brooding, half-time dub stomper. Whilst the original contained some of the Al Jourgensen's most polemical screaming (see above) Voltergeist exorcises the majority of Al's presence from the track, focusing more on the groove and doom, peppering a deep, head-nodding riddim with bass flourishes and spoken word samples.
"Opening with a simple kick pattern and a rolling bassline, Voltergeist introduces layers of noise and static, along with wailing choral riff, creating an tense ominous atmosphere, before a simple snare pattern drags the monster to life. All bubbling subs, dark atmospherics and whispered vocal snatches, it's definitely one of Voltergeist's darkest pieces to date, despite the solid, grinding rhythm.
"Be very afraid."
